On this tour, we will be driving across Koresand and making a stop on the westside of the isolated sandbank – in the middle of the Wadden Sea.
The tour has a duration of approximately 3 hours, and we will make one stop during the tour. During this stop you can explore the westside of the sandbank by foot. A nature guide from the Waddden Sea Centre will tell about the Wadden Sea, and it will be possible to ask questions about the Wadden Sea and Koresand. The guide will bring different equipment, so you can catch and explore some of the life we encounter during our time on Koresand.
The Westside of Koresand is very isolated and lie in the middle of nowhere – next stop to the west is England. During high tide and storm surges, facinating things are often washed ashore. If the wind conditions are right, it might be possible to find amber, other days you will have to “settle” for some of the most fantastic conchs and seashells from the North Sea.
This Koresand tour will start on the island of Mandø. The ticket also includes the transportation with tractor bus from the Wadden Sea Centre to Mandø and back again. This bus leaves 1 hour before the tour starts on Mandø (tour start is available on the ticket). On Mandø you will have to change bus and drive with the bus named “Havørnen”.
When returning from Mandø, the tractorbus leaves for the main land (Wadden Sea Centre) half an hour after the tour ends. It is also possible to use the other departures in the public schedule, which you can find on www.mandoebussen.dk

Info from the organizer
– Cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to tour start for the ticket(s) to be refunded.
– The Wadden Sea Centre can cancel the tour until the day before the tour, due to bad weather conditions or few participants.
– Clothing: footwear that can withstand sand and saltwater and optionally swimwear
– Duration: Approx. 3 hours (excluding transportation to and from Mandø).

Auf dieser Tour fahren wir quer über Koresand und machen einen Halt auf der Westseite des isolierten Hochsandes mitten im Wattenmeer.
Die Fahrt dauert ca. 2 Stunden und beinhaltet neben der Fahrt mit dem Traktorbus einen Stopp, an dem ein Teil der Westseite zu Fuß erkundet werden kann. Im Traktorbus gibt es einen Naturführer, der unterwegs über die Insel Mandø und das Leben im Wattenmeer erzählt. Wenn wir aus dem Traktorbus aussteigen, besteht die Möglichkeit, Fragen zu stellen und ins Gespräch mit dem Naturführer zu kommen. Der Naturführer bringt Ausrüstung mit, damit wir die Tierwelt hier draußen näher untersuchen können.
Die Westküste von Koresand ist sehr isoliert und liegt mitten im Nirgendwo – Richtung Westen läge als nächstes England. Die Nordsee spült hier viele spannende Dinge an. Bei günstigen Windverhältnissen, besteht sogar die Möglichkeit, Bernstein zu finden. Ansonsten müssen Sie sich mit einigen der erstaunlichsten Schneckenhäuser und Muscheln „begnügen“, die die Nordsee zu bieten hat.
Die Tour nach Koresand mit dem Bus “Havørnen” startet auf der Insel Mandø. Das Ticket für die Tour beinhaltet auch den Transport mit dem Traktorbus vom Wattenmeerzentrum nach Mandø und zurück. Der Traktorbus fährt eine Stunde vor Beginn der Tour vom Wattenmeerzentrum aus los. Die Tour startet auf Mandø (die Uhrzeit steht auf dem Ticket). Auf Mandø musst du umsteigen, denn die Tour nach Koresand fährst du mit dem Bus namens “Havørnen”.
Der Traktorbus fährt zurück zum Wattenmeerzentrum eine halbe Stunde nach Ende der Tour auf Mandø. Es ist auch möglich einen anderen Bus zu nehmen, wenn man zum Beispiel mehr Zeit auf Mandø verbringen möchte. Die Abfahrtszeiten findet ihr auf www.mandoebussen.dk
